Soon Kwon
Sr. Producer | Director of Design Operations | Events Specialist
From humble beginnings as a wide-eyed Production Assistant to an award-winning Senior Writer/Producer and Director of Design Operations, Soon has spent 20 years at the heart of creative marketing and post-production for networks like Showtime and Paramount+.
Soon graduated from Penn State’s College of Communications and landed her first job in television, where she was able to directly apply her studies to her passion for production. Highlights from her tenure at Showtime include contributions to high-profile campaigns for Dexter, Homeland, On Becoming a God in Central Florida, The Chi, and Yellowjackets, as well as critically-acclaimed documentaries, branding, and sports. The desire to understand every corner of the business has allowed Soon to wear many hats – successfully navigating creative, operational, and managerial roles throughout her seasoned career.
An avid believer in the power of genuine human connection, Soon credits much of her success to the generous network of colleagues and mentors who have supported her, professionally and personally. She is dedicated to paying it forward through volunteer work and event planning with various non-profit organizations.
As a former T. Howard intern and Rising Star recipient, Soon has served as a mentor to underrepresented students, helping to drive the Foundation’s goal of increasing diversity, fostering inclusion, and developing the next generation of industry leaders.
Soon is currently on the leadership committee for the NYC chapter of Soapbox Women, a collective that champions professional and gender non-conforming individuals in the creative marketing and advertising world. She is committed to expanding the East Coast community with fellow inspired, like-minded, badass women in the biz! Give them a follow on IG @soapbox_ny for news and upcoming events!
